Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, our league is designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and the simple joy of playing soccer.
Prepare for Thursday nights filled with action-packed games, camaraderie, and the chance to connect with fellow soccer enthusiasts in Cornwall.
Game Details:
- Duration: Each game will consist of two 25-minute halves.
- Times: Games will be played at either 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM.
- Officiating: A certified referee will be present for each game. Please note that linesmen will not be provided.
Team Composition:
- Roster Size: Each team will ideally consist of 16 players, with a balanced ratio of 8 women and 8 men, depending on registration numbers.
- Roster Review: The CDSL Executive reserves the right to adjust team sizes if deemed necessary based on registration interest.
- On-Field Requirement: Each team must have a minimum of five (5) female players on the field at all times.
Team Formation:
- Draft System: Teams will be formed using a draft system conducted by the CDSL Executive to ensure balanced and competitive teams.
- Pairing Requests: While individuals may request to be paired with one other participant, these requests cannot be guaranteed.
Registration:
- Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
League Philosophy:
- This league emphasizes the enjoyment of soccer in a friendly and inclusive environment.
- Unnecessary aggressive play will not be tolerated. Teams are responsible for monitoring and managing the conduct of their players in this regard.
